The Hostal Ruta de la Conquista was built in a XV century building, known as the "Hospital of the Holy Spirit". Remarkable are its brick vaults of great architectural value, and its wide entrance with the shields of Orellana and Barrantes. Finally the chapel, built on the side of the Inn. In the sixteenth century, the building served as a hospital to the city. However, in the twentieth century (1989) was turned into the "Hostal Ruta de la Conquista." And it was remodeled in 1993 and 2001 to give a better quality service to its customers.
